Celebrating a Milestone in my EFT Journey!

Five years ago, my family and I embarked on an exciting journey to Toronto for my Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship. That first training facilitated by Sue Johnson (RIP) began my deep dive into the world of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am thrilled to share that I have achieved certification as an International Centre For Excellence In EFT Couple Therapy Supervisor, the first in the Caribbean!

This certification is more than just a professional milestone; it represents years of dedication, learning, and growth. EFT is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps couples heal and connect. Throughout this journey, EFT has transformed my professional practice and enriched my personal life. It has also helped me build a thriving psychotherapy practice.

Looking back on the past five years, I am grateful for the support of my family and mentors, Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen and Helene Igwebuike. The knowledge and skills I have acquired have prepared me to significantly impact the lives of couples and families in the Caribbean and beyond. As an EFT supervisor, I am excited about the opportunity to help develop a new generation of EFT couple therapists in the region.
